What In Dee Heck is "451 Temporary local problem "

J

JPS

ok, anyone have a solution for this? Seems that 2 of our
office people cannot send out email and get the following
message returned to them "451 Temporary local problem"

I've done a virus check (totally updated norton),
verified the user names and passwords and double checked
the smtp settings, all is good... any help? Is this
possibly an ISP problem? If so, they are not aware even
though we've called them about it.

Thanks

Have you tried checking google.com for an answer? I found a wealth of
information there.

Post all replies to the group to keep the discussion intact. Due to
the (insert latest virus name here) virus, all mail sent to my personal
account will be deleted without reading.

After searching google.groups.com and finding no answer, JPS asked:

Hey Milly, thanks for the response and yes, i've searched
practically everywhere and can't find a solution. I
really think it's a problem with the ISP's mail server
but they don't ever seem to think that they have problems
over there (must be nice not to have problems huh? lol)

If i ever find out, i'll post the answer in here.

Sounds like a 'local' problem on the server not your machine
