what is a header and footer?

Hi Demon,

at least I regard a real name and a greeting as polite,
though it's ok, if some people don't like to reveal their identity.
They may have good reason for it,
like avoiding trouble with their boss for posting during work.

There is no such thing as a header and footer.
There are headers and there are footers.

A very simplified definition might be:

A header is a part of a doc,
which is repeated on the top of each page.

A footer is a part of a doc,
which is repeated at the bottom of each page.
