What is a missing msysDb object?

Our Access 2002 database will not open now and presents the message "The
microsoft Jet database engine could not find the onbect 'MSysDB'. Make Sure
the database object exists and that you spell its name and the path name
correctly". What can we do to fix this.

Your database has probably become corrupted.
Make a copy of it, because anything you do now may make it worse.
First thing to try after that is a Compact/Repair.

Of course if you already have a backup (you always should...) you can just
revert to that...
