What is a NOD32's IMON CONFIGURATION SCREEN?

What is a NOD32's IMON CONFIGURATION SCREEN? We have seen this in a few
other situations at other websites, but no one seems to actually explain what
the means for the average user who is not technical.

And how exactly does one get to this configuration screen?

NOD32 is a virus scanner. IMON is its main scanner function.
