What is a System Call?

I just want to know what a System Call is. I am composing an e-mail and keep
getting a pop up message the says "System call failed". I looked for it in
Help but got no information.

It means that something happened that the developers of your e-mail program
did not anticipate.

You might get more help if you were to post a question in a newsgroup
related to whatever e-mail software you are using. This one is for questions
about designing tables in Microsoft Access.
