What is an "interactive" powerpoint presentation?

I have been asked to create an interactive PPT lesson plan (I am a
teacher)presentation with website links. I know how to put links into a
powerpoint, but I am not sure what they mean by interactive other than
someone clicks on the links and the sites come up. Is there more to an
"interactive" presentation than that?

"Interactive" to me means the audience gets to interact with the
presentation and can control how it goes. As John mentioned, hyperlinking
around your presentation does that. However, if you want some games and/or

I'll speak "authoritatively" as someone who has assigned such things.
Generally, I give more specifics in the assignment, but I generally mean
to include hyperlinks to other slides and possibly to other documents and
Web pages. The idea is to avoid the linear movement from one slide to the
next to the next. This could be for a presenter who might have several
options to follow or for users to sit down in front of the computer to
navigate themselves. I usually show my students a simple presentation
with a title slide and a menu slide. The menu has links to other slides
in the presentation and each of those slides links back to the menu. This
is probably the simplest form of interactive presentation, but MUCH more
is possible.

There are two aspects to understand the connotative meaning of
Interactive

1. The presentation content is interactive

That means tha presentation is not text-only. Multi media are well
integrated into the textual content for effective information delivery
..
Adding video/flash/pictures/audio as the interactivity is a good way
to make a interactive presentation.

2. The learning process of the presentation is Interactive

When a viewer plays the prensentation, he/she will not be forced to
take in the infomation without any interaction with the presentation.
Instead, he/she learns the presentation through a interaction
process.

For example, you can use some interactive modules in the presentation
to explain and stimulate rather than text description.

Also adding a quiz to a presentation for viewers works to enhance
his/her learning through interaction . Ask he/she to take a quiz and
you can mesure their learning progress.


These understandings of Interactive quizzes root form my presentation
