What is check the file permission for the document or drive?

Hello, i have a file on a floppy disk and every time a try to open it i get
an erroe message "The document name or path is not valid" then the suggession
above is displayed. The file open at work. both computers used windowsXP.
P.S. File was downloaded form the internet.

also- internet explorer 6.0, won't open links on most web pages. Please help
