What is difference between Academic Edition and Non Academic Ed?

Can someone tell me what the difference is between MS Office Pro Academic vs
Non Academic, besides the price. I want to use my Excel at home and office
and don't know now if they are compatible.

Limitations of Academic Versions:

--- For noncommercial, educational use only.
--- For qualified educational users only.
--- Non-upgradeable to the next version.
--- Non-transferable.
--- Has installation support only.
--- Has a non-perpetual license that is tied to the eligibility of the user.
(If a user is no longer a student or educator, the license is no longer
valid)

Your right to use the Academic version of Windows XP ends when
you no longer meet the criteria for using the Academic version of XP.

If you do not meet the above criteria, then you cannot use the
Academic Version of Office.

Thank you. So then what you are saying is that if i wish to continue to use
Excel after I am no longer a student I can't. And of course I would want
to. So, I guess not I have to try to see if the school will refund my money
so I can buy what I really need. Your response came faster than expected. I
really appreciate that because I was just going to download and heard the
email prompt. Now I am back to square one. I was going to work from home
tomorrow. Darn! To the office I go.
