We have a document management site on our company intranet which prompts for
a username and password when a user selects a document.
We have recently upgraded our network of PC's from Win2k Office2k to WinXP
Office2003.
Now, when the users select a document they get prompted for a username and
password a second time ie after entering it once they get it again.
If the user hits ESC, Cancel or clicks the x to close the prompt the
document opens.
I have found that if I install Web Components from Office2000 the site works
properly.
I have tried having a document created from scratch in Office2003 and using
the Office2003 web components on the PC trying to view it, but this does not
work.
Is there a way to get this to work without installing the Web Components
from Office2000 on every PC?
Any suggestions gratefully received.
