Everytime I try to update Office I recive a message that it was not possible
to update and I have the error code 0x80070643 . Can anyone tell me what it
is about?

It turned ut I had to use the third alternative; reinstalling Office. It was
a mess because the installation CD is an Upgrade so I had to find the old
Office 2000 CD. It ended up in a lot of work that lasted long into the
night. :-((
