What is Error message J2GPfcW showing at start up Office 2007

I recently installed Office 2007 Standard edition upgrade. On booting up,
Office does not start automatically and each time I get an error message
"J2GPfcW" OK? On htting the OK button sevarl times, I am then asked if I want
to start Office in "safe" mode, or not.
On choosing "Yes", or "No", Office then eventually starts.
I didn't have this problem with Office 2003 which started faultlessly. I am
tempted to uninstall 2007 and go back to 2003.
I have run the diagnostics and told everthing is just fine.

When you upgraded did you have your AV running and scanning, also were you connected to the net or were you multitasking while the upgrade was installing ???

Hello Peter,
Thanks for your reply. The answer is yes, I think I did have my AV running
and was on line. Do you suggest I should uninstall 2007 and re-install,
turning off the AV and stay offline until the re-installation is complete?

Hi Atunero
Do you suggest I should uninstall 2007 and re-install,
turning off the AV and stay offline until the re-installation is complete?

Could you please first try and see what happens when
starting Winword in Safe Mode via [START | Run | Winword /safe]?
starting Winword and bypass AddIns via [START | Run | Winword /a]?

Kind Regards
Toby
