What is it with all these multiple, almost identical postings?

Is the web interface so messed up that when people post a question it
looks as if it didn't go so they post it again? But how would that
explain all these identical posts by slightly different web-interface-
generated user names?

I am beginning to think that someone is screwing around with us. For what
purpose, I don't know.

I am not sure either what is going on. I have seen repeated postings all
over the groups in the past few days. Someone actually posted that the
web interface gave him an error that indicated the post didn't go
through, and so he reposted. The post though went through, and there
were dupes...

Why, oh why the good old newreader techniques have become out of
fashion ...
A really bad kind of development in the world of e-communications.
