what is meant by a marked task

Under "format -> text styles -> item to change
in the item to change field there is an option for "marked tasks" what is meant by a marked task and how do I create it
Same for the "highlighted task" ?

Hello Chris,
The "Marked" field is a reminiscence of old versions of MS Project, where
the number of Flag fields was very small. It's just a flag field which was
displayed formely in the Task Information dialog box. But, unlike the other
Flags, you can't customize the Marked field.
You make what you want with it : insert the column Marked. You can specify a
special color for all Marked tasks.

"Highlighted task" will specify the color/font you'll choose for all the
tasks which comply with one of your Filter if you choose Highlight instead
of Apply in the More Filters box.

Thanks that worked. I have another question. How do I add a new item to the drop down list. Say I insert column for flag1 and then want to select formatting for flag1. How do I get flag1 into the drop down list ?

Hi,

As for text formats, you are limited by what is in the drop down list; no
flags possible.
