what is metamail

[In need of assistance-Raines 106]

I am getting an error message, "please install metamail"
What is metamail?, and where do I look for this file. The message is
displayed when opening "Outlook".

Hello Diane,
I didn't install an addin. The software came with my new Toshiba laptop, and
I entered an old code to register it from the same software disc pruchased
much earlier. That's when the error message start appearing, every time I
open Outlook.
how do I correct this problem?

did you try reinstalling metamail? If you use Windows or Office's file and
settings wizards to move programs and accounts to the new computer it can
miss a few things and reinstalling the app will fix it.
