trent

Version: 2008
Operating System: Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard)
Processor: intel

.... and why is it trying to communicate to sqm.msn.com ?

It's found in: /Library/Application Support/Microsoft/MERP2.0/

I think it was installed with Beta 2 of Microsoft Expressions.

Just relying on memory:

That's part of the error reporting mechanism. "SQM" is the "Software
Quality Monitoring" bucket, and it is trying to handshake with Microsoft to
report a problem.

Asserts are debugging codes inserted in Beta products so they provide more
information to the developers when they crash.

If you want to know exactly, I will have to ask (and they may not tell
me...)

Cheers
