I'm stumped!!

I upgraded. macros don't work, VB add-ins (paid for some) don't work.

(do macro work at all? I tried the 'new' format and no chance to create a macro)

So, $200 + to go backwards????

Whats in Office 2008 thats 'new'??

2004 is staying on the machine 2008 can't get deleted fast enough.

As announced long before 2008 was released, VBA [macros] is no longer being
supported in Mac:Office as of the Version 12 release.

As far as what's new, you might want to visit the Mactopia site and/or Help
- the very first topic when you launch it is "What's New in Office".

Choice of versions is certainly yours - nobody here will argue that point in
the least. In fact, most of us are seeing value to using both... It isn't an
"either/or" proposition.

If you want to express your opinions to MS, again I suggest the Help menu -
specifically, Send Feedback. Although some MS personnel are monitoring the
groups a bit more heavily since the new release you can be more certain that
your comments will be seen if you post submit them through the proper venue.

Office 2008 does not contain a VBA interpreter. So "no" nothing that looks
like, smells like, or even sounds like VBA will work.

But why would you delete Office 2008, now that you have paid for it? Unless
you can get your money back :)

It may be useful for reading the new file formats you will start to get from
others.

Cheers
