what is order of pictures in screen saver?

I have pictures in a folder. WHen I view them as a slide show they are
exactly in the order that I want them based on who I naved them. BUT< using
the same folder/ files as a screen saver they are NOT displayed in the same
order? WHy not? IS the screen save always "random order" or something that
I am not aware of?
