Dear Ben

I had a pre installed onenote along with my toshiba laptop. However
when I tried to update OneNote, I got the same error regarding th
sku1a1.cab file not being present.

I took out the DVD that came along with the laptop and used th
'repair' option under OneNote. After this I was able to upgrade t
OneNote SP1 from the website. Please download the file that can b
used without the original CD of OneNote being required.

I suggest you take a look in Control Panel/Folder Options/View tab,
especially under Hidden files and folders, to make sure you have a dot in
the radial for "Show hidden files and folders." You may also want to remove
the check marks from the boxes next to "Hide extensions for known files
types" and "Hide protected operating system files (Recommended)." Restart
your system, then do a Search in Windows Explorer again.
