I heard it ages ago (back in the 80's) and the person who used it was doing
just that - snaking on his girlfriend. What a scumball.

In today's world, I believe it is a gaming term used in Mario Kart. It
involves using the drift-boosting over and over again, causing a snake-like
movement pattern across the tracks. It has been in the game since Mario Kart
64.
