What is the allowable size for Outlook attachments?

I have been using Outlook in Office 2003 to try to send 2 messages to MS
Support including their requested screen shots, but they stay in the Send
process for hours, apparently hung. I tried compressing the images to send,
ending up with a 215 kb message, but it just keeps "Preparing/Sending"
forever. Help!

Attachment sizes are set by your ISP, not Microsoft as I have sent several
multi-mb (okay, via Exchange) files during various betas. Contact your ISP
for assistance.
