What is the basic equipment needed for PPT presentation?

I need to make a powerpoint presentation to a fairly large
ballroom room of 200 people. I already have the presentation
on CD, but was not sure what projection equipment I needed.
LCD projector? What kind of cables? Is it possible
to go wireless from laptop to projector so that cables
aren't necessary?

The people who are organizing the event should arrange for the projectors
unless you opted to do this on your own.

You'll need a laptop though -- and yes, it's possible these days to go
wireless but that will entail extra equipment. Most projectors on the other
hand include cables that can connect to a laptop.
