What is the best type of motor vehicle? To one person it might be a
Lamberghini sports car; to another an 18-wheel tractor-trailer rig.
(Of course an 18-wheeler with a nice Lamborghini in the trailer would be
interesting...)
Your question has no defined answer. "Best" depends on the task which the
database server needs to accomplish, on the needs and budget of the user, on
the user's knowledge and/or willingness to learn, on the hardware and other
resources available.
You might want to add several other contenders to your list... and define your
question more precisely before settling on an answer.

I remember the Gumball Rally! It was great! I wish it were available at my
video store...
All those fabulous sports cars racing about... I liked the scene in which
the Italian driver in the Ferrari rips the rear view mirror off of the
windshield, tosses it away and says.. "Whats-a behind-a me is not
important!"...

P.S. Or the scene with the guys underneath the lovely Jag E-type commenting
on the beauty of the design... except they can't get the car to start
because of the Lucas electronics!!

The question is nonsense.
It's like asking:
What is the best fruit? Potato? Orange? Apple? Grapes?
Access is not a database server.
It's not even a database, but an application development platform.
It happens to use the Jet database engine as its default data store,
but that's not a server database, either (i.e., replacing "Access"
with "Jet" in the original question doesn't make it any less
nonsensical).
Even if you'd limited your question to database servers, the answer
will depend entirely on what the requirements of a particular
project are and can't be answered in the abstract. It's one of your
basic "how long is a piece of string"-type questions.
