What is the best option to customize Project Server 2003?

I will be developing Customizations for Enterprize Project Management
project. I would request if there is any comparison between different
techiniques available for Customizing Project 2003. (Project Guides, Web
Parts, PDS Extenders, Project Object Model) or Client Side Vs Server Side..

you are trying to accomplish.

Thank you Gord for your site "www.domorethanmanage.com". I could see lot of
good info - Thank you. Just to give you more specifics on what I am looking
for, I have to develop Customizations of Project Professional/Server 2003 for
a client. Method of developing the customizations have not been decided yet.
I am trying to see Whether PIA (COM Interop) is good (or) Web Parts good for
lets say Project Creation/Initiation process.
Also, one of the customer rep. did not show much interest in customizing
Project Guides. So, if you can direct me to a comparison of .Net PDS
Extension Vs Web Parts if available that would be great.

Without knowing more of your requirements other than "Project
Creation/Initiation process". I can tell you that I have made use of
Templates and a customized Project Guide to assist Project Managers create
initial project plans.

There are many different ways to customize Project and Project Server, but I
don't really see these different approaches as competing with each other.
Usually the approach is obvious based on what you are trying to accomplish.
