What is the best web based front end for SQL Server?

Hi everyone,

I need advices and information from you as experts in this area. I am, I
could say a powerful Access user and intend to learn SQL Server, Visual Basic
and a Front End software other then Access. So the question is, what is the
best front end software that interacts with SQL Server, the front end I am
referring to is, the one you use over the network, in other words, If I have
a SQL Server in London, the front end should support those users in Paris,
New York and other countries or cities. So, what is the best front end. I
think this front end is called web based front end, something like this if
I’m not mistaking

Please advice…

I would very much appreciate any help/tip or thought you may provide.

Hi,
perhaps web frontend is the best choice in your case, for example ASP.NET,
but if you have already application built on access - you can consider using
terminal services with Access app as frontend, so you don't need to build
everything from scratch

Thank you Alex, I now need to start learning ASP.NET, though.

Any suggestion what book I should start with? and ASP.NET coding similar to
VBA?

well, only partly. If you know VBA and want to learn VB.NET - it will help a
bit. But you also need to learn ASP object model, ADO.NET, etc
