What is the default location for the pst file?

Hi gurus,
hope you can help me here:

My laptop's hard drive has gone to a better place, and I'm in need to
recover the default storage file for e-mails.

If I've understood it correctly, outlook 2K stores all files on a .pst
file. I'm able to browse the disk using a live OS, but that's it.
Searching the disk will freeze the laptop.

What is the default location for the pst file?

OS is XP.

Thanks!
