What is the field switch to display a SSN properly?

I have social security number data for five tenants.
I want to write a form letter that includes their SSN in the proper
formating: 123-45-6789
What is the field switch to make this happen?

For a formfield, use
###-##-####
in the Format field of the formfield dialog box

For Regular fields (Created with CTRL-F9 or Insert > Fields...), use:
\# "###–##–####"
where the dashes have to be En-dashes ("CTRL-Minus sign" on the numerical
key pad).

Hi Jean-Guy,

I'd be inclined to format the field with
000-00-0000
just to be sure that any leading 0s don't get dropped.

Cheers

Good point.
I just assumed that SSN numbers could not start with leading zeros...
Never assume anything!
