What is the significance of bold dates in the calender?

Some of the dates in by calender are bold and some are not. What is the
sigificance of bold dates?

Those are dates with an item. In Help, look for "Change the look of your
calendar" (for Outlook 2003, at least). Or right-click the body of the
calendar and choose "Other Settings".
