Thanks Gary for you reply, but can please tell me how I add new user to all
existing and new one share points sites? I'm asking this question because I
have added some users in Enterprise resource pool and provide him rights of
Project Managers but they are not able to open existing WSS sites but when I
manualy add them by managers user link then they can easly open the existing
sites. I dont know where I did mistake.

Is there any method that when new resource add in the resource pool they
automatically add in the site.

One more thing to tell you that is I already configure in Manage Window
SharePoint Services --> Site provisioning settings that "Automatically add
Project Web Access users to project team Web site when SharePoint site is
created or when the project manager publishes the project information to
Project Server." This check box is ON.

Please suggest what to do because its create a huge exercise to add new
users manually in all existing WSS sites.

Thanks is advance.

Nitesh,

By default permissions, I think a Project Manager will only be added to
SharePoint workspace sites that they are the project owners of or has
assignments on the schedule. If you want all new resources to be added to
all existing and future sites then you will have to tweak your security
model.

If you add the “View Issues, Risks and Documents†category permission on “My
Organization†against the "Project Managers" then all sites will add these
PMs as part of the “Readers (Microsoft Office Project Server)†site group
and will be able to only read information on the sites.

If you add the “Save Project†category permission on “My Organizationâ€
against the "Project Managers" then all sites will add these PMs as part of
the “Project Managers (Microsoft Office Project Server)†site group and will
be able to edit information on the sites. The downside of this is that they
will be able to edit all project schedules on the server as well.

Hope this helps,

Jonathan

Nitesh:

Jonathan has provided more specific information. The other thing for you to
remember is that automatic user synchronization occurs when certain publish
actions occur. Sometimes there is a lag between making changes and the time
they appear to be functional in the system depending on your system's
characteristics and use/performance capacity.
