what size and format for video inserted in a presentation to projecton a screen during reunion

Hello, i have to project a ppt presentation during a reunion, using a
lapop and a projector.
I have to put some videos inside that presentation, and i am
wondering

- what size
and
-waht format

i have to use for videos to have good results and a light
presentation.

For me, videos in WMV format with 720 pixels width work well.
