What standard does Visio use in it's process symbols (ISO, ANSI)?

What standard is used to develop the templates/ diagram shapes for Visio? I
have searched the help and online, but can't find anything about standards
for shapes to used for different types of diagrams. I mostly use Vision for
process maps.

Visio shapes draw from a number of standards including ISO, ANSI and British
standards. There is usually not a 1-to-1 match between a particular
standard and a Visio stencil of shapes. This is partly because the range of
scenarios where you might use a shape is different than the original context
defined by the standard.
