What the Hell happened to Office in the last year?

In the last year Office has become more and more unstable on every machine I've seen it on. Even machines straight out of the box with a fresh Win2K and Office2K (or XP) load on them have issues within hours of use.

It seems to be an update, SP or SR that is causing this but I cannot figure out which one as all the machines have recent updates/patches, SR's and SP's.

Did the Office team at MS just take a leave of absence all at once? What the heck is going on? Over 60 systems here, loaded from new CD's, newly deployed server loads, it doesn't matter, they crash and crash and crash! It's always "program.exe has generated errors and will be closed by windows" and the users all now just accept it as "MS Sucks" which is a view I'm sure MS doesn't want people to have and I'm even starting to think that myself and I've been a die hard MS fan since even Win 3.11.

In looking through the newsgroups for resolutions to problems it's not exactly difficult to see that this problem is not just here, it's the most common post I see here.

Is this EVER going to get fixed?

Office 2003 is the most stable implementation I've seen yet. The beta was impressive.

Run a networkk with 500+ users all win2ksp4 and office 2k some officexp. no problems at all. did a new pc rollout recently and no problems there either.
Would suggest checking your installation or hardware.

Maybe it's a network issue at your location. 1000 Win2k/Office2K
installs here and hiccups are rare.
