What the is debugging and how do I kill it?

I recently installed Office Xp. I have always used MS
word to create, edit and manipulate HTML files. Since
installing Office XP, nearly all of my saved HTML files
and many that I surf to on the net bring up an error
message first, then a window pops up asking me if I want
to debug. Not only do I not want to Debug I want it to
stop asking me questions and just show me the web page. I
also find that when I edit a web page that has this
error/debug thing going on, it won't show me the updated
version I saved after modification.

What do I do about this?
