After reading many things to enable me to make a good decision on what
version of MS Office 2007 to purchase, I'm so confused.
I have an office with 3 workstations and 1 server..what version should I
buy?--

Well Home and Student isn't applicable nor is Basic, so you will need to
review the others as to what features you really need.

You would need a version that contains the components you require, and
whether you qualify for an upgrade version depends as to whether you have
qualifying version software on each workstation.
Home & Student is not Licensed for commercial use
You would need a Licence, installation cd for each workstation - that's 3
purchases of Office
Multiple Licence versions are available I believe, from 5 installations.
