What to do about multiple office programs on computer

G

GA

I just noticed on my PC that I have 3 office programs listed in my control
panel.
Microsoft Office 2000 SR-1 Disc 2
Microsoft Office Basic Edition 2003
Microsoft Office XP Professional

What is the best action to take?

You may well find the editions contain components not included in others
thus if Office was installed as an upgrade it would have retained any
earlier edition component not included in that upgrade.
So you perhaps need to decide what components you need/use then act
accordingly. You may well need the origonal office cd's in order to remove
any component.

None of what you listed are actually programs. Merely an indication that
you have an Office application that would have come as part of the
indicated Office suite of that name. Leaving it alone would be the best
action.
