What trial version of Office is compatible with Windows XP?

I went to "download latest trial version" (2003) and of course received the
message "invalid win32 application." How do I get this to work, or do I need
the XP trial version, and is it even available any longer?

As suggestions you could try these:
1. Clear your IE cache, cookies and temp files from Internet options under
tools.
2.

Some of the methods listed may help.
Trial versions avaliable are for Office 2003.
