What will happen after converting the trial ON 2007

What will happen after converting the trial to the full version.

Will there be changes in functionalities or additional functionalities?

Will the appearance on the screen change?

I am referring to the Home and Student 2007 version.

Nothing will change you will keep all the same functionality and the
appearance will also be the same. On the trials they last 60 days and after
that your notebook will go read only until you convert to the full version.

Gary,

Why does the version of Onenote that opens for me continue to indicate that
it's the trial version I downloaded in December, when I today installed a
boxed version bought at Best Buy? The info I get about the program gives the
date I downloaded the trial and indicates it was modified today when I
installed the purchased version. Is this going to be a problem when my trial
version expires at the end of Feb? I've done a lot of work in the program I
don't want to lose or be unable to get to.

Alan and Carolus this should help both of you:

To convert your copy to be full go to
Help -> Activate Product

then click Convert

This will bring up a dialog where you should put your new key that came with
your copy of OneNote from Best Buy.

On the next screen press Install Now

After this finishes go ahead and restart OneNote and activate it, you will
see the Trial message goes away.

The above steps should work for you, if they don't just remove OneNote from
the Add/Remove programs and then install the new version from the CD from
bestbuy. You won't lose your notebooks in either case. Hope that helps

Gary,

Thank you for taking the time to reply. I had tried the first procedure,
but the program wouldn't recognize my new product key; so, I moved on to your
second suggestion, which worked just as you said it would. Thanks again.
I'm relieved not to see that "Trial" at the top of the program everytime I
open it.
