I got all excited when I found I could set up a chart in Excel then
all I had to do was command-C and command-V to paste it into Word.
Nice and easy - I would paste slabs of results data into Excel, which
could then process and cross-link it all and produce a nice pretty
picture.
Now Word has decided not to play ball any more. The chart looks OK in
Excel, but when I copied and pasted to Word (using paste, paste
special and any other combination I can think of), Word decides to not
show half of the chart title. I don’t know why, maybe I’m wearing
different coloured socks today and Word thinks that that is
significant.
If anyone has any clues, I’d be grateful for them. I’ve got a hunch
its got to do with transporting a set of objects from Excel to Word
Seriously, the way Word handles objects is rubbish. Why can’t I tell
word what rows and columns to display in an embedded spreadsheet? Why
does the object’s aspect ratio start out at 96% high and 107% wide so
I have to constantly correct all my imports? Why is Word only
approximately WYSWIG?
