John J.
I have to write a report about:
1. Using MS Access as a frontend and backend (both files are on a fileserver
and users have to have write permissions for the respective folders), and
2. Using MS Access as a frontend with for instance an Oracle- or SQL-server
as a backend (users don't have direct access to the backend).
I think option 2 is normally referred to as a 'Client-server'
database/solution. Then, is option 1 a fileserver database/solution or is
this called another name?
Thanks,
John
