I currently use Project 2002 Standard. What is different/updated in version
2003? (I could not find a product comparison chart on the microsoft website).
thanks

Hello,

At some point in time, there was a link on the MS website, which I cannot
find now myself. At any rate, you will find that 2003 has a number of
features that round out the 2002 platform.

- Supports Windows SharePoint Services (WSS), which stores data in the
database instead of in a file system.
- Better timesheet functionality.
- Synchronize with Active Directory -- I think this is new :)
- Better server performance.

These are probably the key points. There are a number of
too-small-to-mention but really-nice-to-have features and the Project
Professional client has some nice export to PowerPoint/Excel enhancements.

The best one may be the multi-values list in Outline codes

Bill are these really enhancements to Project 2003 Standard?
There is no timesheet functionality with Proj Std and server performance is
a non-issue.
Personally I am still using Proj 2002 std. There is not really any
difference which would warrant an upgrade to 2003.
Project 2006 may be a different story.
