Whats this error really mean? And how do I kill it?

I've created an administrative project which will hopefully allow me to dump
hours worked into my workplan.

Every time i try to do so in project server it tells me "you do not have any
work scheduled during this week. to override choose "view options" and set
the units to days to enter your hours on a daily basis"

Can I enter hours on a weekly basis?
or Can I default the view to daily?

You must enter time for Administrative projects on a day by day basis. To
set the timesheet view to daily, the Project Server administrator should do
the following:

1. Log into PWA with administrator permissions
2. Click Admin - Customize Project Web Access
3. In the Time Period settings section, select the "Resources should enter
their hours worked every day" option
4. Click the Save Changes button
