What's wrong if my Remove Recurrence doesn't work in Calendar?

My Microsoft Office Outlook 2003 SP2 ignores my attempts to "Remove
Recurrence" in Calendar items, and often seems to - at its own discretion -
turn single events into recurring nightmares that i can't correct! Any ideas
on how to make this work? To date I've tried this sequence: Open the Series

Recurrence > Remove Recurrence > Save and Close. Surprisingly, it seems to

work about one out of every 10 times, but generally reverts to the recurring
nightmare when i try to save and close. Thoughts? Thanks in advance for
your help!

my guess is that you have a Dell and this is a known problem. It's asked
and answered here quite regularly:

open Control Panel>Add or Remove Programs and uninstall the Cyberlink
Outlookaddinsetup program.

I hope this helps you at least a little bit!
