What's wrong?????

Hi all,

I would appreciate if you would assist me with the following.

I am extracting text from an Indesign (desktop publishing programme)
into Microsoft Word.

The text is six questions followed by six answers, one times.

I have inserted a style on the questions only so that I can perform
the find and replace option as follows:-

1. Find and highlight the questions only
2. Cut the questions from the document
3. Insert the questions into a new document

My problem is whenever I paste the text into a new document, the first
question moves to the end of the file, and the last question moves to
the beginning of the file.

Your assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you.

Sorry if this seems overly fundamental, but are you making sure that the
insertion point is at the *end* of the content when you paste the next item?

That's about the only thing I can think of that would cause this to happen
as I understand your message. There's nothing about Word or Indy that
"dictates" any type of sort order. If I'm misunderstanding your problem
please provide more descriptive detail on how you are pasting, what you mean
by "first" & "last" question, etc.

What happens if you copy all the Indy content at once, paste it to the Word
doc, then delete what you don't want to retain?
