When adding command buttons, I pressed the wrong button...help!

Hi,

I was adding command buttons to forms. I was using instructions from an
Access how-to book. It told me to press the little button that looked like a
magic wand with magic shooting out the end of it. With the form in design
view, I pressed the magic wand button "Build" in the main toolbar on top of
my screen. I believe there was a pop-up box with 3 choices and I chose the
bottom one which, I believe, has something to do with Visual Basic. In any
case, I should've pressed the magic wand button in the toolbox, but, of
course, they didn't warn you that there were 2 with the same icon....
Now, my command buttons aren't working properly anymore. When I press the
"Find" command button I added, it starts sending up error messages about
macros and things I'm not all that familiar with. I have one message that
says, "Add go to control action before FindRecord action" and another that
says, "For FindRecord action change only the Only Current Field action
argument from yes to no".
Now, when I'm in a form in design view, the "Build" button is greyed out, so
I can't undo the pressing of it, which is when, I believe, all my troubles
started. Please help me. I am starting to lose it.

Hi Kce,
try to delete the Find command button, close and save the form.
Make a backup of your database and save in a safe place.
Now do a compact and repair of your database from the tools menu.
Open your database and try the form again - if no more funny error messages
then OK it's fixed.

If not, the form is probably corrupted - make a new form to replace the one
that is corrupted.
