When an enterprise resource no longer works for the organization(retires, etc)....

What is the best method to turn off any alerts / emails they might be
receiving out of project server / project workspaces if they continue
to have an email account - simply change their resource status to
inactive in the Server Settings?

I woud do 2 things.
1. make their account inactive
2. delete their email address from the account within PS.
and ideally
3. ask your infrastructure guys to disable the account within AD.
