When an imported image is edited

We are importing a publication into Word from another source.

Once we edit an image using word "edit picture", any graphics in that image
turn into a black box when we print it. It worked before we did any edit.

I'm afraid nobody can offer any suggestions because you provide nothing in
terms of detail. We have no idea:

What this "source" is,
How you're "importing" it - Word has no Import command,
What version of Word you're using,
What type of images are involved,
What type of "editing" you're doing, or
What it is that "worked" before you edited.

These folks here are *good*, but they aren't clairvoyant. If you provide
something to work with perhaps you'll get some responses.
