I've created quite a few rules (outlook 2003). Some are client-only, which
is OK. But what's happening is that for some messages, that rule doesn't
appear to be getting applied when the message comes into my Inbox, in spite
of the fact that I have it checked to run. However, if I go to Run Rules
and Alerts and select the rule to apply to my Inbox, it does what it is
supposed to do (move it to another folder).
How do i troubleshoot this? Is this a case of a subsequent rule that is NOT
client-only, somehow getting in the way and stopping processing of all other
rules?
Here's an example of what I have:
Rule1 (client-only) (checked)
Rule2 (client-only) (checked)
Rule3 (checked)
Rule1 doesn't appear to be getting run unless I manually go into Run Rules
and select it to run. The reason I say it's not running is because the
email message sits in my Inbox if it hasn't run, but gets moved if it has
run.
