In Excel spreadsheet, when I copy over a formula from cell 1 to the adjacent
cell 2, the formula copies over correctly but the value remains the same as
in cell 1.
I am wondering if there is an option I have set that I need to change...any
ideas?

Maybe your Excel's calculation mode is changed to manual;
Open: Tools > Options > Calculation
If it is Manual, you should change it to Automatic.

If it is not the case, let me know so that we can check other possibilities.
