When does Windows? browser? get the correct password?

What is the usual problem when I can access, with my directory name and my
password, and use the FrontPage control panel at the ISP, but when I
publish, my directory name is accepted, but my password is not?

The password is given by the ISP. If I go to the ISP account management and
change my password with one of my own, is that when IE or Windows gets the
password, thereby making it possible for me to publish?

Or is there something else I should do? I'm not a newbie, but every thing
worked correctly for the longest time, I just can't think how to get out of
this pickle. I know at one recent point in time when I was having trouble
with the site, a message went by that said something about the password that
Windows remembers...???

What do I need to do?

Contact your Host for the online web site (not your ISP) for the PW that they have set up for FP access to the site (can be
different from your account PW)

My ISP *is* my web host. But I will call them. My ISP account password is
not what they request for the FP control panel. They use the directory name
and Front Page password for that, and for publishing. The 'company' account
password is for other management duties.
