I just noticed this section, I posted this in the Excel programming forum but
I'm guessing this is a more appropriate place. We use a program that
launches Excel through automation. We created a custom toolbar that we use
with this program. However, our toolbar doesn't launch when Excel is opened
with automation. Does anyone know a way we can get our toolbar to launch?

No. We created the custom toolbars. One of our programs that we use,
Engagement, launches excel with automation when one of its worksheets is
openend. When this happens our custom toolbar disappears. Our custom
toolbar will remain if we have excel open prior to launching Engagement. We
were just wondering if there was a way around having excel open all the time.

Have you received an answer on this in the other newsgroup?

If not, exactly where is this toolbar saved or being created?

And which version of Excel is involved?

I haven't recieved any answers for this. It is Excel 2007. The toolbar is
saved as an add-in *.xlam file. It shows in the Add-in Ribbon under its only
group.

The excel programming group is still probably the best bet on getting a
knowledgeable answer, if you can get them to answer. Be sure to provide ALL the
information (things we've had to ask you for).

My area of expertise is Word, and from that I do know that there are
applications out there that explicitly prevent elements from other products
(Add-ins) from loading, unload them, or remove them from the interface. No idea
if "Engagement" is doing something like that, but it appears this could be the
case.
