I built an Access database (2003) to record observations on how workers
perform at their job. Users of the database input their observations into a
form that includes a number of text and memo fields. These observations are
later collected and used to create a report in Microsoft Word.
I have not found a satisfactory way to import the data into Word such that
you can take the data and easily manipulate it to build a report. My biggest
problem is that when exporting a report from Access it creates a paragraph
mark at the end of each line. This makes it difficult to edit the data and
maintain a paragraph structure in Word.
I can cut and paste data from a field in the Access form into Word and it
will maintain the formatted paragraph structure but this is very time
consuming. Is there a better way?
